What is Happening 

So far we have many stories from people that have Fostered and Adopted Dogs from Stour Valley Dog Rescue, even some that have asked for their own dog to be “Temporarily” looked after while they deal with family issues.

🐾  A dog dropped off that was flea ridden with an open flesh wound, the vet stated the wound was about 5 to 6 days old (that would tie in with the trip over in what they like to call the “Happy Bus”), SVDR even argued with the vet as they knew better.

🐾. Young lady going through bereavement, asked SVDR to look after her dog while her and her children came to terms with the passing of her husband and the children’s father.

She was given a  form to sign, being in NO fit state to understand the full details, the form was a “Sign Over” and they kept the dog – Ended up SELLING this woman’s dog – the children’s pet... 

🐾. Foster’s being ignored when it came to rehoming some of the dogs,  in the care of the foster, the dog had been reactive, biting children and attacking people.

SVDR STILL wanted to place the dog with a family with young children even after the warning that the dog should NOT be placed with children...

🐾. Dogs coming from Romania on the (so called) Happy Bus, 3 to 4 days locked in a cage and then 48 hours later,  the expert in all things dog at the SVDR says they have been fully assessed and ready for their new home....

Even the RSPCA have stated it takes 3 to 4 weeks to assess a dog properly & that’s a dog from the UK, without all of the trauma that the Romanian Dogs Go through.

🐾  Fosters have a had dogs dropped off by angry Adopters, who can not get hold of the SVDR Owner as she ignores them or is “To Busy”, saying they got the dog as they had been told it was good around children.....Then it bites/attacks them within 24 hours.

🐾. The SVDR is NOT a charity, it is “Sharon Maistre-Walsh Trading as the Stour Vally Dog Rescue”

Where is the support?  You can not complain or raise issues on the Facebook Group Page, as you get shut down, blocked and banned. Those that have tried to help are ignored and blamed for things that were out of their control or never happened.

🐾  Sharon has her supporters that seem to think she is a perfect angel, can do no wrong and help & support with fundraising.  I personally supported and donated hundreds if not thousands of £’s to the SVDR until a lie – just one, but it made me start to look and when you open your eyes and talk to others that have been “Blamed / Shamed” via the Facebook Group Page then you start to realise this isn’t a dog rescue....its a conveyor belt. More dogs from Romania and someone takes it in = lets all celebrate.  If that person has a problem then it is obviously NOT the dogs fault as they are all sweet and well adjust....

If you are thinking of Donating, Adopting, Fostering or raising funds for the SVDR PLEASE look at other Rescues that offer Help, On-Going Support & Insurance while fostering, on call 24/7 to help with your new dog, it is difficult not only for YOU but also the dogs.
